What we do

Wellfit Kids provide unique, fun and lively group fitness classes to kids in school years 3 - 6 (ages 7-11).  Find and book a class here.

Classes provide a regular time each week for kids to: ​

  • Have fun and bond with others

  • Increase fitness

  • Express emotions and let off steam

  • Learn new skills

  • Boost confidence

  • Improve coordination, agility and balance

  • Spend some time relaxing 

​

The fitness routines feature martial arts-inspired movements and body weight exercises choreographed to an infectious soundtrack of base-heavy, uplifting, lyrical music. 

​

The routines are repeated each week giving kids the chance to learn and perfect their moves. New routines and music mixes are then introduced each half term to keep things fresh.

​

Classes also feature the Wellfit Kids signature sound-activated light display and games, making them engaging and great fun.​

How we do it

We bring the tunes and we pack a punch!


The satisfying choreographed movements are great for releasing energy, improving motor skills and improving a child’s fitness. 
 

The non-contact, non-competitive format ensures maximum inclusivity and fun.

Games and group activities during the sessions foster teamwork and promote social skills. 

​

By focussing on one of the Wellfit VALUES at our initial circle time each week we set a healthy ethos and actively build a sense of belonging and community.​

Rewarding achievement

At Wellfit Kids we believe it’s important to recognise effort and reward achievement.
 

Every class features one 'Masterclass' track. Here, we take the tempo down a bit and focus on mastering a particular martial arts technique. Once kids have attended the required number of masterclasses, they achieve an exclusive collectable card recognising their experience in that technique [Coming soon].

Regulation, relaxation

Each energetic session ends with a guided cool down. This helps teach kids how to transition from a highly-activated state to one of control and calm in three steps:
 

  1. First, a change of music and lighting is used to alter the mood in the room.

  2. ​Children are then invited to lay back on their towels with their eyes closed and listen closely to the music.

  3. They are then encouraged to regulate their breathing and tune into pleasant sensations within their bodies as gradually their heart rates drop and slowly they come back to rest.

​

By regularly repeating this practice, kids develop improved awareness of their bodies and the power of using inward focus and their breath.
